How to Blog in Hindi through Blogger

Blogger introduced most sought after feature for Hindi Bloggers. With Transliteration facility, now you can blog in Hindi on Blogger platform.

Transliteration means option for converting roman characters to the Devanagari characters used in Hindi. You can type Hindi words phonetically in English script. Blogger converts them into Hindi alphabets.

Note: Only sounds are converted but not meaning.

1. The transliteration feature is only supported in Internet Explorer versions 6.0 and higher on Windows, and Firefox 1.5 and higher on Windows and Linux. It is not supported on Macs.

2. This transliteration facility is available only when internet connection is available.
How to enable transliteration feature?

Go to Blogger site. Select the blog you want to blog in Hindi.

Go to settings ? Basics ?Choose “yes” for the transliteration option.

Now go to your post editor and you’ll see a new button there. A yellow label points it out for you the first time you use it, and will disappear on its own after a few seconds. When this button is on, both the titles and labels along with the body of the post are converted into Hindi/Devanagari characters.

Visit blogger site and Help forum for more information on this feature. Google should provide this facility to other Indian languages like Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Bengali and Punjabi etc. Come on! Express your ideas in Hindi.
